Show Run through at the Matamata Civic Center (Memorial Hall)

Time: 3:30pm–5:00pm
Dress Rehearsals at Putaruru Plaza instead of classes at the studio that week
Date: Thursday 11 June
Time: 3:30pm–5:30pm
Note: ALL Preschoolers/Mini classes are not required at these rehearsals and will have normal classes at the studio.This Rehearsal is for the BIG SHOW only. The Mini show will be later in the year.
Show Day – Sir Howard Morrison Centre, Rotorua
Date: Sunday 28 June
Detailed Show Day Schedule:
1:30pm – Students arrive
1:45pm – Stage rehearsal begins
3:15pm – Students released for break
4:15pm – Students return to the theatre
5:00pm – Show starts
6:30pm aprox – Show ends and students released (Please note there will be no prize giving as this will be held later in the year).
Frequently Asked Questions
What time do students need to arrive?
Students need to arrive one hour before show start time.
Can students watch the show?
Students cannot watch the show from inside the theatre. They can see all dances at the dress rehearsal or on backstage screens. The show is professionally filmed, and students will have access to the recording to share with friends and family.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets go on sale online at www.ticketmaster.co.nz starting 22nd May.
Can parents attend dress rehearsals?
No. Dress rehearsals are closed to parents. Students should be dropped off and picked up at the end of the rehearsal.
Is there a cost to be in the show?
Yes. There is a one-off $40 show participation fee per class in Term 1, plus a mandatory $40 media fee per family in Term 2 for access to the professionally filmed show.
Who does hair and makeup?
Parents or caregivers are responsible for hair and makeup. Instructions will be sent in Term 2.
Do students keep their costumes?
No. Costumes are Aspire property and will be provided at the theatre. Students must return costumes to the correct boxes after the show. All students must wear their Aspire uniform to and from the theatre on show day.
